The Public Eye Celebrates Expansion into Video Podcast Market; Daily Three-Minute News, Commentary and Entertainment Program is Now Widely Available Via RSS Technology from Apple iTunes and Creative's ZENcast Service

Business Wire, Jan 18, 2006

VANCOUVER, Wash. -- Exactly three months ago, The Public Eye debuted its daily video podcast or video blog, www.thepubliceye.tv and began serving up 2-3 minute news and entertainment episodes for broadband Internet users.

Today the company announced its service is now widely available using Really Simple Syndication (RSS) technology and can be accessed through many of the largest video podcast distributors including Apple's iTunes, www.itunes.com and Creative's recently launched ZENcast service www.zencast.com.

To subscribe to the free Internet news feed, users can type in the following URL into their RSS software http://www.thepubliceye.tv/rss.php to have daily episodes downloaded to their computer or mobile video devices, including the Apple Video iPod(R) and the Creative Zen Vision(R) Media Player.

"Available for free to anyone with a high-speed Internet connection, daily episodes are broadcast in MPEG-4 and Windows Media Player formats to make them easily accessible to anyone," said founder Jack Hardy. "In addition to the daily news video, our Web site includes a written blog where viewers can post commentary and provide feedback on each daily broadcast. We are also accepting video submissions from like-minded people who are seeking a venue to share their own video news footage."

Video news correspondents who wish to submit their own mobile phone or camcorder-generated video footage are requested to send in an e-mail query to receive a secure FTP site to upload their footage. Acceptable file formats in order of preference are: .mov (QuickTime/MPEG-4) .avi, or wmv. Contributors may submit any kind of content for review, but should keep in mind that producers seek family friendly footage and do not allow nudity or profanity.
