TechSmith's Camtasia Studio Receives Standing Ovation Award from Presentations Magazine; Winners 'Set the Standard of Excellence' in Presentation Technology
Business Wire, Jan 19, 2006
OKEMOS, Mich. -- TechSmith Corp., the world's leading provider of screen capture and recording solutions, today announced that Camtasia Studio has received a prestigious Standing Ovation Award in the software category from Presentations magazine for screen capture. The award is highlighted in the December 2005 issue of the publication.
Annually, the editors, columnists and technology experts from Presentations pick the premier presentation products in the areas of Projection and Display, Digital Imaging, Delivery, and Software. In selecting Camtasia Studio, the magazine emphasized the product's value to educators, trainers, business people and instructional designers.
"It's a real honor to be recognized by Presentations and we're very proud to be picked as the best of the best," said Troy Stein, Camtasia Studio Product Manager at TechSmith. "We're making it easy and affordable for individuals and companies to harness the power of video on the Web and deliver it to colleagues and customers so they can better share information, ideas, and knowledge. In the coming year, we'll be releasing more exciting and innovative enhancements for Camtasia Studio in response to the feedback we've received from our many loyal customers around the world."
Camtasia Studio automatically records exactly what a user sees on a computer screen, what they say, and how they interact with PowerPoint presentations, Web sites, or any Windows-based application. Individuals can then edit the interactive content and share it via fixed media (e.g., CD or DVD) or online in all the popular streaming media formats, including Flash. Additionally, users can import real-world video from digital camcorders to enhance their screen recordings.
Multimedia content -- created in minutes with Camtasia Studio -- is proven to increase the effectiveness of online training and learning, improve sales presentations and marketing initiatives, and reduce costs associated with technical support and helpdesks.
