Redline's WiMAX Products Chosen for Broadband Network in Croatia

CROATIA, Europe -- Hrvatske Telekomunikacije d.d (HT), a Deutsche Telekom company, to deliver broadband services to businesses and residents via the world's first WiMAX Forum Certified(TM) products
Redline Communications Inc., a leading provider of standards-based broadband wireless equipment, and MICRO-LINK d.o.o., a Croatian distributor and system integrator of wireless communication systems for digital data transmission, today announced that RedMAX WiMAX products, which are among the world's first WiMAX Forum Certified(TM) equipment, will be used to established the first commercial implementation of a certified WiMAX broadband network in Europe.
HT (HRVATSKE TELEKOMUNIKACIJE d.d.), a communications technology solutions provider owned by Deutsche Telekom, in accordance with license issued by the Croatian Telecommunication Agency, have initiated deployment of Redline's RedMAX products in the Cakovec area in the northern part of Croatia. The deployment has been fully supported by MICRO-LINK d.o.o. which has implemented the system on a turnkey basis.

HT and MICRO-LINK are working closely together to ensure the deployment is being carried out in accordance to all technical conditions posed by the Croatian Telecommunication Agency. We look forward to the official launch of our WiMAX service following the completion of the technical survey by the Croation regulator (CTA)."
During the installation and commissioning of the system, MICRO-LINK engineers, supported by Redline representatives, conducted drive tests and RF measurements and confirmed excellent results and NLOS capabilities of the system. The system will be a part of a larger broadband wireless access network enabling HT to broaden their scope of services and offer wireless broadband data, voice and video (triple play) services for residential and business users. By taking the leading position in this radically new standards based wireless technology, HT will expand their ADSL business and, by developing a nationwide WiMAX network will contribute to the development of high speed data connectivity in Croatia.
