Adobe Acrobat & PDF Conference 2006 Announces Speakers, Sponsors, New Content
Business Wire, Jan 25, 2006
BOSTON -- The Adobe(R) Acrobat(R) & PDF Conference will be held May 17-18, 2006 at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando, Florida. The PDF2006 conference is the first major publishing technology event following the completion of the merger between Adobe Systems and Macromedia. Adobe Systems is returning as the gold sponsor of the event, and will deliver a keynote presentation as a part of the conference. Other top PDF software developers and well-known PDF experts are scheduled to speak and exhibit at the conference. The Adobe Acrobat & PDF Conference includes more than 25 educational sessions that are organized into three separate tracks: Technical Track, User Track, and a Graphics and Creative Track. New to the conference this year is the Graphics and Creative track, and the conference also is offering expanded pre and post conference training sessions. Conference information is available on-line at www.pdf2006.com
"The Adobe Acrobat & PDF Conference brings together a great line-up of speakers and exhibitors, and the location in the heart of Walt Disney World in Orlando adds to its appeal," said Christopher Smith, the President of American Graphics Institute, who is also the chair of content for the conference. "This is the first opportunity for PDF users, developers and IT professionals to get an in-depth look at Acrobat and Adobe's plans following the merger between Adobe and Macromedia," said Smith.
Pre-conference training sessions are being offered May 16 with post-conference training sessions being held May 19. These sessions provide in-depth technical training for software developers, technical professionals and end-users on a variety of relevant topics. The conference also includes an exhibit area where users can meet the conference sponsors and learn more about their products and services. More than a dozen developers of PDF related technologies are joining Adobe Systems as event sponsors and exhibitors at the event.
"We've worked hard to create a conference that appeals to management, technology professionals, Acrobat users, along with graphics and creative professionals. Whether attendees are looking to deploy PDF as a standard across their enterprise or are looking to learn in-depth technical skills, we have sessions for them. The expanded sessions for graphics and creative professionals are meeting the requests from previous attendees," said Smith. "Overall we have created a very compelling reason to travel to Orlando this May," he concluded.
"We've received valuable input on the content of this year's event from the author of the PDF Bible, Ted Padova and also Leonard Rosenthol, the Chief Technology Officer of PDF Sages," said Smith who is also the author of numerous Acrobat and PDF related books.
