Respected AMR Analyst Alexi Sarnevitz Joins SAS to Lead Retail Strategy; Sarnevitz Joins Software Giant to Accelerate Retail Business Expansion

CARY, N.C. -- SAS, the leader in business intelligence, announced today that Alexi Sarnevitz has joined its staff as senior director of global retail strategy. His responsibilities will include defining and shaping advanced retail industry solution and go-to-market strategies at SAS.
Sarnevitz has more than 20 years of senior-level experience leading key functional areas and directing major cross-functional initiatives for prominent international retailers. He joined SAS directly from AMR Research where, as a respected analyst, he built strong relationships with SAS, its competitors and a variety of major retailers. Prior to AMR, Sarnevitz was an Accenture associate partner where he led the development and roll out of new processes and technologies in the merchandising, marketing, pricing, supply chain and store operations areas. Sarnevitz held senior management positions for major retailers such as Payless ShoeSource, Dixon's Group PLC, and Edison Brothers Stores. He earned a bachelor's degree from Brandeis University and an MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.
