Mark Logic Named 2006 CODiE Awards Finalist for Best Enterprise Search Engine and Best Content Management Solution
Business Wire, Jan 26, 2006
SAN MATEO, Calif. -- Mark Logic(R) Corporation, provider of the industry's leading XML content server, today announced that MarkLogic Server has been selected as a finalist in the 2006 CODiE Awards by the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA), the principal trade association for the software and digital content industries, for Best Enterprise Search Engine and for Best Content Management Solution.
"The 21st Annual CODiE Awards continues the tradition of honoring the best of the software, information, and education technology industries," said Ken Wasch, president of the SIIA. "When one considers the number of outstanding companies that competed this year, Mark Logic being named a CODiE Awards finalist in two categories is a significant achievement."
Established in 1986, the CODiE Awards is the longest-running, peer-reviewed awards program in the software and information industry. In the initial round of evaluation, representatives from the software and information industry trade press, mainstream technology writers, consultants, analysts and subject-matter experts carefully review all nominees and vote on finalists for each category. The 348 finalists chosen for 2006 represent a wide and impressive array of technology and business excellence, passion, and success. Finalists were chosen from more than 1,026 nominations submitted by more than 500 companies -- eclipsing the nominations record set by the 2005 CODiE Awards.
"We have great respect for the SIIA and are delighted that they have recognized Mark Logic as a finalist in this year's Best Enterprise Search Engine and Best Content Management Solution categories," said Dave Kellogg, president and chief executive officer for Mark Logic Corporation. "Our XML content server provides a new approach -- a platform for content applications -- that can be used to improve traditional enterprise search and content management solutions."
The 2006 CODiE Awards will be presented at a gala event on May 16 at the Westin St. Francis Hotel, San Francisco, Calif. For a complete list of the 2006 CODiE Award finalists please go to www.siia.net/codies/2006/finalists.asp.
