Business Wire, Jan 30, 2006

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Configuresoft, an innovator in systems management technology and the creator of enterprise continuous compliance management, announced today the appointments of Chris Silveri as vice president of development, and Chris Niederman and Michael Dunbar as regional vice presidents of sales. In addition, Configuresoft has promoted Alan Sage to executive vice president, global sales operations, Peter Ballas to vice president of sales, Northeast region, and Jeff Puffenberger to vice president, alliance & business development.

"Configuresoft enables public and private organizations to make compliance an ongoing part of their operations. In 2005, sales grew at 47 percent, and we expanded our established customer base by approximately 30 percent. In order to continue this momentum we recognize the need to expand our executive team and our flagship Enterprise Configuration Management solution to help customers achieve greater competitive advantage," said Mark K. Ruport, president and COO of Configuresoft.

"Chris Silveri's experience, technical depth in operating systems and personal drive make him the right choice to lead our continued development of cross-platform and executive level solutions," noted Ruport. Mr. Silveri brings 20 years of management and engineering from large companies such as Sun Microsystems as well as start ups including ChannelPoint, Inc. and Allocity, Inc. Mr. Silveri holds a BS degree in mathematics and computer science from the University of Illinois at Chicago. "The industry is catching on to configuration management database technologies," said Mr. Silveri. "This is a pivotal time in Configuresoft's growth as it stays a step ahead of the industry by offering the only cross-platform continuous compliance technologies available."

"Chris Niederman joins our team with nearly 20 years of high-tech sales and management experience and a track record of winning major Fortune 500 and worldwide contracts," said Mr. Ruport. "A seasoned federal sales executive, Michael Dunbar will play an integral role in aggressively driving Configuresoft's value and growth in that specialized market. Both executives provide an outstanding balance of industry knowledge, business and sales expertise."

"Configuresoft's relentless focus on continuous compliance and executive visibility is creating a standard in the industry," said Mr. Niederman. "I look forward to working with this innovative team at Configuresoft to extend their footprint in the market, break new ground and maintain the upward sales and revenue momentum."

Chris Niederman joins Configuresoft after nearly two decades with large high tech companies including IBM, NetIQ, Quest Software and "start-up" companies including Mission Critical Software, NetFRAME Systems, NeXt and Vintela, spanning the software, security, networking and computer industries. As one of NetIQ's early sales executives, he built, managed and grew sales operations from start-up to a run rate of more than $31 million. He has a proven track record in initiating new operations, building sales teams, strategizing and winning major Fortune 500 and worldwide contracts, launching products into new markets, negotiating channel alliances and developing partnerships. Mr. Niederman holds an MBA from the University of Chicago with degrees in finance and marketing, and a bachelor's degree in business/finance from the University of Illinois.

"Configuresoft has made significant strides in the federal market. The targeted Compliance Toolkits around the FISMA, NIST and DISA standards are endorsed by the biggest names in the space," said Mr. Dunbar. "Configuresoft's approach directly addresses government agencies' desperate need to meet regulations and demonstrate a secure infrastructure to the auditors."

Michael Dunbar spent the past four years at Securify, a network security management company, where he launched its federal sales business unit and grew the business unit from zero to $14 million in revenue in less than two years. He was instrumental in the company's growth and was the principal liaison with the Department of Defense account and then spearheaded the company's commercial effort. In addition, he served as the deputy chief information security officer for the United States Marine Corps Information Technology & Network Operations Center. In this role, he was responsible for the global defense and operations of the Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN) which supports more than 120,000 users worldwide. In 1998, Mr. Dunbar received the Copernicus Award as one of the top information technology professionals in the federal government. Mr. Dunbar holds a BS degree in management science and information systems from Pennsylvania State University, and an MS degree in information and telecommunications systems management from Capitol College.
