X1® Technologies Extends X1 Platform to Provide Enterprise Desktop Search for the Legal Market; X1 Content Connector for Interwoven Delivers Unified Actionable Search for Interwoven WorkSite 8
Business Wire, Jan 30, 2006
NEW YORK -- X1 Technologies announced today the availability of the X1 Content Connector for Interwoven WorkSite. Now users of X1 Enterprise Edition have a pre-built connector to the Interwoven WorkSite 8 document management repository, enabling a unified presentation of search results across both local and server-based content upon which users can immediately act. Through the new X1 Content Connector, the client interface provides access to WorkSite document management functionality -- including "open," "check-in," "check-out" and "send" features -- reducing the number of steps required by the user to reach their target document. X1 Enterprise Edition aligns with existing Interwoven security schemes and provides schedule-based indexing, so that users can take action easily on the search results.
"Our partnership with X1 Technologies addresses key business challenges of law firms today, enabling attorneys to easily locate and share critical information no matter where the content may reside via an easy-to-use and unified search interface," said Dave Packer, director of professional services solutions at Interwoven. "By unifying data across the organization, the X1 Content Connector provides a foundation for improved productivity and client service that addresses a variety of content and compliance related needs."
The X1 Content Connector for Interwoven WorkSite is a flexible and extensible solution that focuses on what is most important to attorneys in their work. Law firms can now expand their enterprise desktop search capabilities to include designated repository systems, such as WorkSite 8, enabling their users to quickly produce information that may be relevant for a civil or criminal case.
"Adding the X1 Content Connector for Interwoven WorkSite is an ideal way for legal firms to seamlessly integrate our enterprise desktop search with their existing investment in Interwoven, enabling attorneys to quickly and easily find highly relevant legal information," said Josh Jacobs, president, X1 Technologies. "Our partnership with Interwoven is another illustration of our commitment to offer a robust enterprise search solution that makes our customers more productive and gives them a competitive edge."
