RESTON, Va. -- STG, Inc.--a leading provider of information technology (IT) integration and engineering services support to the Government and military--has been awarded the U.S. Army Total Engineering and Integration Services (TEIS) contract. This 5-year procurement, which includes four 1-year options, has an estimated value of $772 million. STG is one of only three firms to be awarded a TEIS contract.

TEIS will be the sole contract used for mission support by the U.S. Army's Information Systems Engineering Command (ISEC)--a subordinate command of the U.S. Army's Communications Electronic Life Cycle Management Command (CELCMC) located at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. Team STG will provide the following support services: information mission area engineering, test and evaluation, automated data processing (ADP) and telecommunications, quality assurance, acceptance testing, and information security engineering.

David Gardner, senior vice president, business development, commented, "STG has assembled the right-sized team composed of companies that cover all aspects of systems engineering. This critical balance of large, specialty, and small business concerns will respond effectively and efficiently to the TEIS requirements." Team STG includes ACCESS Systems; Allied Technical Services Group; Battelle Memorial Institute; DHL Worldwide Express; Essex Corporation; Fluor Corporation, ITT Industries; New Technology Management, Inc.; Phacil, Inc.; Raytheon; SPARTA, Inc.; Stealth Network Communications, Inc.; and Technical Management and Services Company.

Glenn W. Davis, senior vice president, defense sector said, "We are honored to be a chosen partner of Army ISEC, and are humbled and proud that the Army has chosen STG to support our country's Warfighters. We are dedicated to supporting the Army ISEC Team mission alongside the other awardees throughout the duration of this contract." He continued, "Our supporting infrastructure and processes are in place, and STG is ready to support the ISEC Team in their mission as 'the effective engineering arm to IT implementation within the Army.' We look forward to a quick transition and immediate start-up of our Program Management Office in Sierra Vista, Arizona, which is led by John "Jack" Hrubik (U.S. Army, retired)."
