PBM IT Solutions Appoints Cisco's John Gormally to Head up Business Development

IRVINE, Calif. -- Irvine, California-based PBM IT Solutions, a leading provider of IT engineering solutions and consulting services, announced today the appointment of former Cisco Product Sales Specialist John Gormally to vice president, Business Development. In this capacity, Gormally is responsible for managing a team of business development managers to drive and manage growth and to define client strategy.

Gormally brings more than 15 years experience in the IT field to PBM IT Solutions, having designed and built some 175 different networks for various companies throughout the west coast. In his most recent position as a product sales specialist in both Network Security and Content Delivery for Cisco Systems, Gormally not only advised clients in areas pertaining to network security, video streaming, content distribution, caching, SSL offloading and load balancing, he also exceeded plan for sales achievement by up to 135% each year during his five-year tenure. Other positions held during his career include IT and sales management positions with Arrowpoint Communications (which merged with Cisco), First American Credco, Inc., Cox Communications, A Net and Absolute Solutions.

Gormally, 42, lives with his wife and two children in San Marcos, California. He is a current member of the Los Angeles chapters of the FBI Infraguard Program and the ISSA (Information Systems Security Association), and also serves as chairperson of the San Diego Cisco Users Group. Gormally served four years active duty in the U.S. Marine Corp, and subsequently earned a bachelor's degree in Marketing from the University of Phoenix.
