Gordano Messaging Server Earns Technology of the Year Honors as Best Exchange Killer of 2005; IDG's InfoWorld 2006 Technology of the Year Awards Recognizes GMS 10.05

Business Wire, Jan 4, 2006

NEW YORK -- Gordano Ltd. - an international developer of low-cost, web-based enterprise messaging products - today announced that it is a recipient of InfoWorld's Technology of the Year Awards for their Gordano Messaging Server, a multi-platform messaging system providing an easy-to-use alternative to Microsoft Exchange that is compatible with Windows (NT, XP, 2000, 2003), Linux (Redhat, Suse, Mandrake, Debian, etc), Solaris and AIX. The awards were announced in the January 2, 2006 issue of InfoWorld, available online at http://www.infoworld.com/3754.> "Our annual awards highlight progress across nearly the entire enterprise IT landscape," said Steve Fox, InfoWorld's editor-in-chief. "InfoWorld's 2006 Technology of the Year Award winners represent the best products defining, and often redefining, the role of IT and resulting business impact."

Gordano aims to provide businesses with a client/server-based suite of products that provides a range of messaging and collaboration capabilities. GMS offers e-mail, instant messaging, archiving, list services, anti-virus and anti-spam protection and shared calendaring and scheduling. The ease of use and cost of the multi-platform GMS, make it a smart alternative to Microsoft Exchange.

"We are honored to receive IDG's InfoWorld Technology of the Year Award for GMS as the year's Best Exchange Killer," says John Stanners, Director of Gordano. "GMS was designed to take away the pain -- both emotional and fiscal -- of shared e-mail and collaboration. In 2006, we will continue to offer businesses of all sizes an alternative to Exchange."

InfoWorld's annual Technology of the Year Awards identify significant technologies of the past year that promise to make the greatest impact on enterprise IT strategies, and honor the products that best exemplify the implementation of those technologies. The final selections are made by InfoWorld's Test Center analysts and editors.

A comparative review of four Linux messaging servers were tested in InfoWorld's first Exchange migration challenge in the February 11, 2005 issue, describing GMS as "a robust messaging solution." The review is available online at: http://weblog.infoworld.com/article/05/02/11/07FEexchange_1.html .
