Analogic Corporation Appoints Mervat Faltas President of Anrad Corporation

PEABODY, Mass. -- John Wood, President and CEO of Analogic Corporation (NASDAQ: ALOG), announced today that Mervat Faltas, Vice President of Operations for Anrad Corporation, Analogic's Quebec, Canada, subsidiary, has been named President of Anrad.

Mrs. Faltas joined Anrad in July 2005, as Vice President of Operations with responsibility for all operational activities, including manufacturing, sourcing, and financing. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry/physics from the American University of Cairo, along with extensive experience in materials science, semiconductor devices, cleanroom processes, enterprise resource planning, and operations. Prior to joining Anrad, Mrs. Faltas served as President and CEO of ITF Optical Technologies, a designer and manufacturer of advanced photonics solutions.

As President of Anrad, effective January 1, 2006, Mervat succeeds Sorin Marcovici, a longtime Vice President of Analogic who has been with the Company for 30 years. Sorin held a number of executive positions within Analogic before taking on the role of President of Anrad in January 2000, shortly after Anrad was founded, and is returning to the Company headquarters in Peabody.
