Business Wire, Jan 9, 2006
LOS ANGELES -- Language Weaver, a leading software company developing enterprise software for the automated translation of human languages, today announced it has formed a strategic reseller agreement with Carahsoft Technology Corp., a government-focused information technology provider.
The alliance expands Language Weaver's presence in the government market and provides government organizations an easier process to purchase the company's automated translation products. Under the terms of this agreement, Carahsoft will provide sales and marketing expertise as well as sales of products via GSA Schedule GS-35F-0131R effective immediately as of January 1, 2006, for a period of five years through January 2011.
"We believe we can leverage our deep understanding of government requirements and the procurement environment to create new opportunities for Language Weaver," said Craig P. Abod, president of Carahsoft. "We are committed to putting the sales and marketing tools together to make this a successful venture. The advanced technology that Language Weaver has created will provide a fast and accurate way for government agencies to communicate, collaborate and be more productive within international markets."
Language Weaver's translation products are all available on GSA schedule, accessible at http://www.carahsoft.com/language/index.html, including all language pair software modules, the Customizer, and TM (Translation Memory) Generator. Language Weaver's statistically-based translation systems produce high accuracy, natural-sounding translations and save customers time and money through automation of the translation process. The Customizer, a self-administered translation tool that produces customized parameters tuned by the user's own accumulated translations, is especially useful for government organizations that need to maintain close control of sensitive in-house data.
Bryce Benjamin, CEO of Language Weaver, said, "As we continue to expand our marketing distribution we are pleased to partner with companies like Carahsoft that focus on specific markets, as well as those that can help to integrate Language Weaver translation systems into knowledge management, search and other applications. Language Weaver is committed to providing the technology solutions and quality improvements that will meet the needs of our government and enterprise customers today and tomorrow."
