Oxford Semiconductor Appoints Merle McClendon as Chief Financial Officer

MILPITAS, Calif. -- Oxford Semiconductor, a leading provider of high-performance connectivity solutions for consumer, storage, and multimedia applications, today announced the appointment of Merle A. McClendon as its chief financial officer with responsibility for the finance, legal and human resources functions. McClendon brings to the company extensive experience as a public company CFO with expertise in the many aspects of financial management and administration important to Oxford's next stage of growth.

McClendon has over 20 years experience in finance, with 10 years in CFO roles for public and private fabless semiconductor companies including Mellanox Technologies Ltd., Transmeta Corp. and NeoMagic. She has directed finance, legal, human resources and information technology organizations for companies which have grown from privately held startups to multi-national, public companies and has successfully completed financial equity and debt transactions, mergers and acquisitions, IP licensing and divestitures. She is a certified public accountant and began her career as an audit manager with Deloitte and Touche.
