Cantata Technology Appoints Andrew Bezaitis Senior Vice President, Business Development; Accomplished Veteran Communications Technology Executive to Drive Strategic Business Development and Industry Partnership Initiatives

NEEDHAM, Mass. -- Cantata Technology(TM), the world's leading independent provider of enabling communications technology, announced today the appointment of Andrew "Andy" Bezaitis to the position of senior vice president, business development.
Effective immediately, Mr. Bezaitis will lead all Cantata business development and strategic partner initiatives, with an emphasis on establishing mutually beneficial relationships with industry-leading organizations in the carrier and enterprise markets.
Cantata Technology was established in 2006 through the combination of Excel Switching Corporation and Brooktrout Technology(R).
Prior to joining Cantata, Mr. Bezaitis served as founder and chief executive officer of Apopleo, Inc., a Chicago-based consultancy that specializes in simplifying the deployment and management of IP networks and services for enterprise customers and service providers. Mr. Bezaitis also served as founder and chief executive officer of Cambia Networks, a firm that developed business- critical wireless infrastructure products for the CDMA and GSM marketplace. In addition, Mr. Bezaitis has held senior management positions at 3COM Corporation, Motorola, Inc., RovingIP.net, Inc., and IIT Research Institute.
Mr. Bezaitis has authored several wireless data networking white papers, is a frequent speaker at industry trade events, and regularly provides expert commentary to influential industry publications and journals. A prolific innovator, Mr. Bezaitis has been awarded nine United States patents for various technologies including, but not limited to, mobile Internet protocol (IP), point-to-point protocol (PPP) connection, wireless networking authentication, and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP).
