Network General Names Kevin Maloney as Executive Vice President Worldwide Sales

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Network General(TM), the global leader in providing dashboard to packet solutions for enterprise application and network performance analysis, today announced the appointment of Kevin Maloney as Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales. Maloney, 52, will be responsible for overseeing worldwide sales, services, support, and global alliances reporting to CEO Bill Gibson.
A 28-year veteran of IBM, Maloney is a highly seasoned executive with extensive experience in managing global and diverse sales and distribution organizations. His strong track record of achievement in hardware and software sales, as well as channel management, will be a tremendous asset in building on Network General's continued momentum and market leadership.

Maloney's career has been distinguished by extensive international experience building and managing direct and indirect sales. Maloney led the distribution and channel strategy for Checkpoint Software Technologies, and was responsible for growing the business 10 percent per year. Maloney also spent 28 years at IBM Corporation, where he held several sales executive positions in the Hardware and Software Sales groups. At IBM, Maloney was Vice President of the Americas, Data Management Sales, Software Group.
