Intervideo and Faith Establish a Strategic Alliance; Providing Audio, Video and Data Software to OEM Customers in the Mobile, CE, PC and Automotive Markets

FREMONT, Calif. -- InterVideo, Inc. (NASDAQ:IVII) an industry leader in next-generation DVD and multimedia software, announced today a strategic marketing and distribution alliance with Faith, Inc. (JASDAQ:4295). This alliance is based on the two companies' complementary relationship and on a shared product supply chain. Together, Faith and InterVideo will develop and distribute audio, video and data service software to OEM customers in the mobile, CE, PC and automotive markets. The two companies will begin distribution in the Japanese and European markets and then expand worldwide.

With its headquarters located in Japan, Faith has an annual revenue of approximately 35 billion JPY and offices located in 22 countries worldwide. The company's core businesses include mobile-phone ringtones and audio technology, as well as operating in the service and electronic payment industries. InterVideo has an annual revenue of approximately 12 billion JPY with more than 35 percent derived from the Japanese market. InterVideo's popular DVD-playback software, WinDVD(R), has 70 percent of the worldwide market share. InterVideo began focusing on the mobile-phone, CE and automotive markets in 2004.
With this alliance, both companies have much to gain. Faith will provide midi 3D sound to accelerate InterVideo's software solution deployment to non-PC segments such as the rapidly expanding mobile phone market, while InterVideo will supply H.264/MPEG-4/AAC/AMR-based multimedia applications to strengthen Faith's content distribution services.
