KnowNow's Board of Directors Announce Todd Rulon-Miller as CEO; Industry Luminary Chosen to Guide KnowNow to Enterprise 2.0 Leadership
Business Wire, July 18, 2006
SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- KnowNow, Inc., a leading provider of Enterprise 2.0 solutions, today announced that the Company's Board of Directors has officially named Todd Rulon-Miller CEO.
Todd Rulon-Miller, a KnowNow board member since 2000, has been appointed CEO to lead KnowNow at a critical company inflexion point in a rapidly emerging market. Mr. Rulon-Miller brings over 30 years of executive leadership and operational experience, including SVP World Wide Sales & Services at Netscape Communications from its early beginnings to generating over $600M in sales. Mr. Rulon-Miller was also a founding partner and Apogee Venture Group, and has played key executive roles within Software Alliance, NeXT Computers, Tandem, and IBM. Mr. Rulon-Miller served on the Board of several organizations, including Active Software (from start-up through its initial public offering on NASDAQ) and Oblix (acquired by Oracle Corporation). Additionally, he served on the Marketing Advisory Board at Epiphany through its initial public offering on NASDAQ.
"I'm thrilled to be coming on board to drive this effort," said Todd Rulon-Miller, CEO of KnowNow, Inc. "The current Enterprise 2.0 market has many parallels with the beginning of the mainstream Internet in which Netscape played a leading and pivotal role. I see an incredible opportunity as we are witnessing an explosion into enterprise syndication and RSS usage in the enterprise, reflected by a sharp increase of RFP activity and bookings from financial institutions, technology companies, system integrators, manufacturing organizations, and retailers. KnowNow is in excellent position to take advantage of this market opportunity."
"With KnowNow's years of experience in developing enterprise-class technology, along with its new and tenured executive team, KnowNow is uniquely positioned to address the needs of this emerging market. We are fully committed to help the executive team build a company that will play a leading role in the emergence of Enterprise 2.0," said Kevin Compton, partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers.
