Digeo™ Shows Video-on-Demand Enhancements and Other New Capabilities at CTAM Summit 2006; Moxi™ Media Center Drives More Than 2X Increase in Video-on-Demand Use by Adelphia Subscribers

Business Wire, July 18, 2006

BOSTON -- Attendees at this week's CTAM Summit will see several advanced capabilities aimed at enhancing the convenience and ease-of-use of Digeo's Moxi(TM) Media Center system. Among the features being demonstrated is a future Moxi interface prototype with advanced VOD content display and navigation capabilities.

In many markets, VOD usage is higher with users of high-end media center systems. Adelphia data from early 2006 shows that the percentage of its Moxi-owning customers in select markets who order VOD content is more than two times as high as non-Moxi customers with VOD service in the same markets. Digeo's Emmy(R) Award-winning Moxi interface makes it easy for people to discover and access on-demand programming, potentially resulting in increased revenue for cable operators.

Other new Moxi features include:

--Unique "real-time" web scheduling capability: Subscribers will be able to use this new feature to review program listings; schedule recording times; receive instant notification of potential scheduling conflicts; and resolve conflicts immediately. It is accessible using a web browser and Internet connection, and adds "anytime, anyplace" convenience and flexibility while minimizing scheduling errors.

--External hard disk drive connectivity: Adding storage capacity is as easy as connecting a certified off-the-shelf external hard drive to an operator-entitled Moxi system using a standard USB 2.0 connection. Installation and recognition is truly plug-and-play, and consumers can add up to 500 GB of additional cable program storage. Cable operators can promote Moxi's increased expandability and versatility as useful for subscribers to purchase and enjoy even more content.

--PC Link: Subscribers can use this feature to easily and quickly stream PC-based photo and music content to their networked Moxi Media Center systems, for browsing and display on the television. This allows consumers to enjoy their PC-based music and photo collections in new ways. The PC link capability is compatible with wired and wireless networks.

"We're excited to add these new, cutting-edge capabilities, which come directly by request of our large base of Moxi enthusiasts," said Mike Fidler, Digeo chief executive officer. "Adding these features, maintaining Moxi's industry-acclaimed simplicity and user-friendliness, and meeting the needs of our cable-industry partners are some of our primary goals."
