Stellent Selected to Supply & Demand Chain Executive's Annual List of Leading Solution Providers

Business Wire, July 19, 2006

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- Second consecutive "Supply & Demand Chain Executive 100" listing for Stellent bolstered by company's implementation at Malt-O-Meal to help enhance critical business processes

Stellent, Inc. (Nasdaq:STEL), a global provider of content management solutions, announced today Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazine selected it to the "Supply & Demand Chain Executive 100," the publication's annual list of the leading supply and demand chain solution providers. This is the second consecutive year Stellent has been named to the list.

"Innovation was our benchmark for inclusion on this year's Supply & Demand Chain Executive 100," said Andrew K. Reese, editor of Supply & Demand Chain Executive. "The corporate executives and line-of-business leaders who rely on our magazine want to know what's state-of-the-art today, but also what the cutting edge of supply chain transformation and enablement will be tomorrow. We are pleased to feature Stellent on the Supply & Demand Chain Executive 100 for the second year in a row, as its technology continues to serve as the content foundation for new and increasingly complex Web-based enterprise systems and applications, which are vital to the supply and demand chain."

Stellent's inclusion on the 2006 Supply & Demand Chain Executive 100 was driven by the innovative application of Stellent(R) Imaging and Business Process Management to help enhance critical business processes at Malt-O-Meal, the fastest growing cereal company in America. In a supply chain-related deployment of Stellent technology, Malt-O-Meal eliminated its manual processes for managing Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs) -- documents that provide Malt-O-Meal employees with protocols for handling and working with any material, including cereal product ingredients -- within the company's production facility. All MSDSs must be in order prior to starting the production or modifying the ingredients of any cereal product at Malt-O-Meal.

Today, Malt-O-Meal's process for managing MSDSs is completely automated using Stellent Imaging and Business Process Management. When one of the company's buyers wants to purchase a new ingredient or product, they request the appropriate MSDS from the vendor. Electronic and scanned MSDSs are then "checked-in" to the Stellent system for consistent management from a central location. Once the MSDS is in the Stellent system, it is automatically routed for approval among plant and food safety personnel. Potential hazards, if any, are reviewed and, if needed, the MSDS is routed for additional assessment. Throughout this process, employees automatically receive emails when an MSDS requires review. When an MSDS is approved, the corresponding ingredient or product can enter Malt-O-Meal's facility and production line, and the document is made available to all employees with Web access. MSDSs are easily accessible and full-text searchable via kiosks by personnel on the plant floor.

"Our Stellent-powered supply chain-related MSDS project has been a huge success," said Sue Stroinski, IT manager for Malt-O-Meal. "As a result, we are now implementing the Stellent system within other areas of our company, including Malt-O-Meal's accounting department. Overall, Stellent's powerful technology provides us with a scalable platform to meet a variety of content management needs, which will improve our business processes and allow us to be a stronger company."

"We are pleased Supply & Demand Chain Executive has recognized our efforts to deliver leading technologies to companies whose business relies on an effective, efficient supply and demand chain," said Robert Olson, president and chief executive officer for Stellent. "Our commitment to innovation remains paramount in this and all other markets, and we look forward to helping our customers, including Malt-O-Meal, further transform their business processes."
