Business Wire, July 19, 2006

ATLANTA -- Georgia Institute of Technology's (Georgia Tech) Executive Master's in International Logistics (EMIL) program announces that its 2006 webinar series, "EMIL Virtual Classroom," continues with its next webinar entitled "Building Effective Logistics in Post-WTO China." The free webinar will take place live from China on July 25, 2006 from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. EDT. Replays of the webinar may be downloaded at www.emil.gatech.edu afterwards.

This webinar explores the pitfalls and difficulties companies often face when managing a logistics network in China. Logistics spending in China is expected to show significant growth. Increases in manufacturing in China and World Trade Organization (WTO) commitments will impact this growth. This webinar will cover the impact and how organizations can effectively capitalize on the growing logistics network.

James Gagne, BAX Global managing director, Central and Northern China, will share his insights on the following:

--Logistics service standards in China: infrastructure planning, logistics pitfalls, trucking and intermodal capabilities

--Current market trends

--Policy recommendations and suggestions

--Market projections for the future

"As the global network in China expands, so does the need to understand the long-term impact on logistics and supply chains," said Dr. John Vande Vate, executive director of the EMIL program. "BAX Global has its finger on the pulse when it comes to integrated logistics services in China. We're certain Gagne's participation will bring valuable insight to this webinar."
