Passlogix Receives 'Positive' Rating in Analyst Firm's MarketScope Report on Enterprise Single Sign-On Products
Business Wire, July 24, 2006
NEW YORK -- Passlogix(R), Inc., announced today that it has received a "Positive" rating in Gartner's "MarketScope for Enterprise Single Sign-On Products, 2006," an evaluation of ESSO solutions from 13 vendors. Improved user convenience and a reduction in calls to the help desk are the primary benefits of enterprise single sign-on tools. ESSO is one segment of the broader identity and access management (IAM) market.
"Our v-GO(R) Sign-On Platform(TM) has been deployed by enterprises around the world, sold more than 2.4 million licenses, and replaced over 40 million passwords," said Marc Boroditsky, president and CEO of Passlogix. "This broad adoption reflects the breadth and depth of our product, and we believe that our 'Positive' rating in this MarketScope report confirms our position in the market."
The v-GO Sign-On Platform consists of an integrated suite of six products built around v-GO SSO (v-GO Single Sign-On(R)), a solution that automatically and securely signs the user into enterprise applications after a single network logon without requiring additional identification and authentication processes. Other products in the suite include solutions that enable v-GO SSO to be used with any form of strong authentication to improve identity verification at sign-on; integrate with all major identity provisioning systems so that users never need to know or touch their credentials; and more.
The v-GO platform can support sign-on to any type of Windows, mainframe or Web application without modification or significant implementation cost. It can be quickly and easily implemented in enterprises of all sizes, using patented client-side intelligence that eliminates the need to write scripts or connectors even to homegrown or legacy applications, and can be deployed on existing servers without adding dedicated or proprietary hardware. These and other features lower the total cost of ownership.
Passlogix has reseller relationships with companies such as BMC, IBM, RSA, Oracle, Sun, many of which re-brand the v-GO platform under their own names.
