With Frenzied Growth, Search Industry Gears Up for Search Engine Strategies San Jose 2006; Features Conversation with Google CEO Eric Schmidt
Business Wire, July 24, 2006
NEW YORK -- Against the backdrop of an increasingly competitive search industry, marketers are set to converge in San Jose, CA, for Search Engine Strategies (SES) Conference & Expo 2006 to glean the latest expert insights. The premier search industry event - one in a series of global conferences - runs August 7-10, 2006, at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center. The popular conference features a session with Google CEO Eric Schmidt along with over 60 other panels and sessions on timely topics including social search, click fraud and demographic targeting.
Bringing together search industry experts and representatives from the top search engines themselves, SES has gained a reputation as a provocative forum for marketers to gain up-to-the-minute advice from colleagues and luminaries alike.
Google's Schmidt plans to talk with SES chair Danny Sullivan about Google's growth and the company's recent challenges. "A Conversation with Eric Schmidt" is scheduled for 10-10:45 am on Wednesday, August 9th.
"Marketers of all stripes are learning that search can't be ignored," said Danny Sullivan, chair of Search Engine Strategies, which is hosted by Incisive Media (FTSE: INM). "Today we're seeing stronger competition for limited search inventory together with rising prices. Our conference arms people with the hands-on, practical knowledge they need to make an impact, even if they're just getting into search. For those already deep in the trenches, this evolving industry means that the learning never ends."
