Hilton Unveils Upscale In-Room Coffee System; Coffee Offering Expands the Hilton Serenity Collection of Luxurious In-Room Amenities
Business Wire, July 25, 2006
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. -- Hilton Hotels announced today the launch of its new Hilton Serenity Collection in-room coffee system, featuring world-renowned Lavazza coffee from Italy, and an exclusive Cuisinart dual-cup, single-brew coffeemaker. The new coffee system begins shipping to select hotels today and will be implemented in more than 230 hotels in the continental U.S. and Alaska over the next several months.
"Guest surveys revealed that premium coffee was the single most important in-room amenity in the upscale segment," said Bill Brooks, vice president of product development, Hilton Hotels. "We continue to make the guest experience a priority by offering an exclusive coffee system unique to Hilton Hotels."
The Hilton Serenity Collection premium in-room coffee system uses an exclusive Cuisinart(R) dual-cup single-brew coffeemaker. The coffeemaker was designed exclusively for Hilton and marks the first time the Cuisinart brand has been used in an out-of-home setting. Cuisinart is the leading brand in sales of coffeemakers in high-end department stores nationwide. Sleek chrome and black accents, compact design, and ease of use highlight this new coffeemaker.
Lavazza(R) is Italy's number one coffee, the world's largest family-owned roaster and the sixth largest roaster overall. Founded in 1895 by Luigi Lavazza, the company still makes products with the same attention to detail that made its coffee famous. The Hilton in-room coffee blend is Lavazza Grand Filtro, a superior 100% Arabica blend of mild coffees from the highlands of Central and South America, offering a full-flavored and aromatic cup, fruity and sweetly fragrant, and designed to satisfy the most discerning palate.
The new in-room coffee system will be placed on a stainless steel tray along with to-go cups and a condiment caddy. The coffee system is the latest addition to the Hilton Serenity Collection of upscale, sophisticated in-room amenities. The collection also includes the Hilton Serenity Bed, featuring the Serta Suite Dreams(R) mattress and box springs, Pacific Coast(R) down duvet, Super Topper mattress pads, and high-quality linens and pillows; and the Hilton Serenity Bath Collection of spa-quality bath amenities from Crabtree & Evelyn's La Source(R) line.
