Business Wire, July 26, 2006
IRVING, Texas -- NEC Corporation of America, Inc. (NEC), a leading technology provider of carrier- and enterprise-class IT, network and visual display solutions, announced today the appointment of James Limanowski as the Central Regional Sales Manager for NEC's Radio Communications Systems Division (RCSD). Reporting directly to Bruce Blain, vice president of Sales, Mr. Limanowski will oversee sales, networking and promotional activities required to grow NEC's microwave presence in the Midwest.
With the sale of digital microwave radio solutions on the rise, NEC is responding to market demand by bringing in experienced talent like Mr. Limanowski to drive its point-to-point wireless access business. On a global-scale, NEC has seen an escalation in its NLite(TM) digital microwave solution sales due to an increase in wireless backhauling, next-generation mobile network opportunities and back-up communications systems for both enterprise and emergency networks.
"The rapid need for North American operators to deploy reliable and established microwave radio solutions has required us to seek highly-skilled, knowledgeable sales professionals to heighten NEC's visibility," said Bruce Blain. "We are confident that Jim will greatly contribute to growing NEC's presence by bringing with him, a long-standing record of proven sales leadership and market expertise; generating revenue and meeting regional development objectives."
A veteran within the telecommunications and microwave radio industry, Mr. Limanowski brings more than 30-years of experience to NEC. With deep industry knowledge and a background in planning, installing and managing microwave communications systems and communications site construction operations, Mr. Limanowski will lead NEC's Central regional sales operations. By building NEC's customer base, maintaining current client relationships and implementing tactical sales strategies, Mr. Limanowski will seek to effectively identify end-users' microwave radio requirements, and aligns those needs with appropriate NEC solutions and services.
"I'm looking forward to helping NEC expand its NLite business to meet increased network operator demands caused by the emerging 3G space, the mobile Internet and the growing IP network," said Limanowski. "By leveraging my experience and capitalizing on current market opportunities, I plan to produce new sales opportunities; building on NEC's reputation for delivering reliable solutions and superior customer service."
