APERTA Ltd. Selects Silver Bullet's Ranger® as its Portability Strategy for Check Scanners
Business Wire, July 26, 2006
PENSACOLA, Fla. -- APERTA, Ltd. selects Silver Bullet's Ranger(R) API as the portability strategy for its branch and teller capture solution, Active-image Teller Capture (AiTC). APERTA's AiTC module allows image-enabled document truncation with many additional security features. By bundling AiTC with Ranger the company offers a seamless integration with existing systems and hardware.
Ranger is an industry-standard software tool designed to allow item processing applications to run unchanged on a wide variety of check scanner types manufactured by BancTec, Canon, Digital Check, Epson, Kodak, MagTek, Maverick, NCR, Panini, RDM, Seac Banche and Unisys. Software developers enjoy the benefits of a single check scanner interface and the freedom to mix and match check scanner types.
"APERTA already has a large number of installations utilizing the Silver Bullet API and are quite pleased with the product, particularly with the high degree of scanner independence it provides to our clients," says Tim Kickham, APERTA Sales Director.
"The financial industry is experiencing an evolution in check scanner hardware as manufacturers evolve their products to meet the emerging demands of image exchange users," said Rick Schwab, director of sales for Silver Bullet. "Providing Ranger with Active Image Document Processing System frees APERTA from the perpetual development cycle required to keep pace with this evolution. More importantly, customers can enjoy the benefits of imaging, no matter what their check volumes are. Everyone can appreciate the security and ease that electronic capture and deposit can provide busy individuals. More importantly, their resources are keenly focused on the products and features that distinguish them in this market."
