Business Wire, July 31, 2006

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Memphis' hometown rap/hip-hop artist and master producer Kia Shine has signed with Universal Motown Records, through a venture with Rap Hustlaz Records, an urban music enterprise owned by Kia Shine and his business partner Jack Frost.

Kia Shine's debut single, "Respect My Fresh," is taking off at radio; the song is a southern radio favorite and is spreading nationally. With this new deal, Kia Shine has stepped beyond the Memphis scene and into the national spotlight. Kia Shine states," It's due season for me and my kinfolk." Due Season, the title on his forthcoming CD, is scheduled to be released in fall 2006.

Kia Shine is also known for producing tracks for such multi-platinum selling artists as T.I., Juvenile, Ludacris, Mike Jones and 8 Ball. He has also been featured on songs with Lil Wayne, Lil Flip, Lil Jon and T.I., among others.

Kia Shine makes his national television debut when he takes the helm of BET's venerable 106 & Park as guest host for the week of August 7th through the 11th.
