Revolution Partners Advises Demantra in Sale To Oracle; Tech M&A Remains Strong As Waltham-based Demantra's Solutions Are An Important Bolt-On Acquisition To Oracle's Supply Chain Applications

Business Wire, June 1, 2006

BOSTON -- Revolution Partners, a leading investment bank serving technology companies, has announced its role as the financial advisor to Waltham-based Demantra in its sale to Oracle. Oracle announced earlier today that it will expand its supply chain planning applications with the acquisition of Demantra, a leading provider of demand-driven planning solutions.

Leveraging powerful analytics and collaboration capabilities, Demantra offers solutions for demand management, sales and operations planning, and trade promotion planning and optimization. Together with Oracle's existing supply chain and ERP applications, customers can more proactively manage complex, global supply chain operations.

"This deal is a great example of our role in helping a software technology company to find the best fit for its products and employees," said David Lavallee, co-founder of Revolution Partners. "Demantra has had tremendous success as an independent company, but Oracle should propel them to the next level. This is an important deal for the software industry and we're pleased to have been a part of it."

The closing of the transaction is anticipated in June 2006, subject to certain closing conditions. Financial details were not disclosed.
