ON Semiconductor and Mouser Electronics Sign Global Distribution Agreement
Business Wire, June 1, 2006
PHOENIX -- ON Semiconductor (Nasdaq: ONNN), a premiere worldwide supplier of performance power solutions, today announced it has signed a global distribution agreement with Mouser Electronics Inc., the fastest-growing catalog distributor in the industry.
"We chose to partner with Mouser because of their unique competence at marketing new products and their ability to quickly get those products into the hands of design engineers," said Jeff Thomson, ON Semiconductor vice president of Worldwide Channel Sales. "As ON Semiconductor increases the pace at which it rolls out new products and solutions, improving early access to these devices will be vitally important. Mouser is focused on stocking the newest products, with no minimum order and same-day shipping -- which is exactly what ON Semiconductor needs to get its latest components in the hands of more design engineers."
ON Semiconductor's strong portfolio of power components and solutions include analog power conversion devices, rectifiers, diodes, MOSFETs and more. The company's devices solve power management and power distribution challenges in computing, consumer, portable, automotive and communications systems.
"ON Semiconductor has a superb product selection and a great reputation for service and support, and Mouser has a huge design engineering customer base that is growing by hundreds of new accounts every day," said Mouser President and CEO Glenn Smith. "We can offer ON Semiconductor access to the many customers uniquely reached by Mouser. We will release ON Semiconductor's new products quickly on our Web site, then every 90 days in our quarterly Mouser catalog. We also provide numerous additional marketing and technical vehicles that will help engineers create designs using ON Semiconductor products, thus fulfilling those engineers' design and prototype requirements."
