Business Wire, June 12, 2006
TAMPA, Fla. -- Numara Software, Inc. (formerly Blue Ocean Software) today announced that Senior Network Engineer Tony Thomas will be speaking at the HDI Tampa Chapter meeting on July 18 at the T-Mobile Office located at 3407 W. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd Tampa, Fla. 33607. During his presentation titled "Find, Fix, & Prevent: Driving Core Processes of IT Best Practices," Thomas will discuss best practices for replacing the chaos in IT asset management with a proactive approach to discovering, monitoring and managing IT assets to ensure regulatory compliance and prevent security threats to the organization.
Marking his second HDI appearance, Thomas' speaking agenda will include strategies for the quick discovery of IT assets on the network and how to manage those assets to prevent security vulnerabilities and software license violations. Thomas will highlight the benefits realized by IT professionals who are able to efficiently track incidents and automate workflows throughout their organizations. Thomas will also argue how the right IT asset management solution will enable IT organizations to create measurable, scalable and repeatable processes, saving time and costs that can be applied to solve other IT challenges.
As a Senior Network Engineer and Product Manager with Numara Software, Tony Thomas is responsible for developing the core elements of Numara Software products. As a result of working closely with existing and future Numara Software customers, Thomas has implemented key features and functionality in the solutions' latest releases, defining these solutions within the competitive landscape.

Thomas speaks frequently about managing IT complexity, compliance and cost-savings. Most recently, he spoke in March at the HDI Annual Conference in Nashville, TN.
