Silverpop Adds Top Talent to Accommodate Dramatic Growth
Business Wire, June 14, 2006
ATLANTA -- To support the company's strong growth and lay the foundation for future expansion, Atlanta-based email service provider Silverpop is doubling its product development team and making significant upgrades to its infrastructure.
"In order to continue to meet our customers' growing needs and to position Silverpop as a global leader of email services, we're aggressively moving forward on a number of fronts," said CEO Bill Nussey. "We're making multi-million dollar investments in our infrastructure and aggressively recruiting top talent to expand our product and technology teams."
Leading the company's overall technology efforts will be Chief Technology Officer Chris Curtin, who was promoted from vice president of engineering. Curtin is the primary architect behind Silverpop's email solution, and has nurtured it through the company's record-setting growth. In his new role, Curtin will focus on the exploration of cutting-edge marketing technologies and new products.
Garrett Suhm has joined Silverpop as vice president of engineering. He brings to the company more than 17 years experience in the technology industry. Prior to joining Silverpop, Suhm led global enterprise application architecture initiatives at Equifax. He had also managed projects for MCI, UPS and other companies throughout the Southeast for Stonebridge Technologies.
Yong Di joins Silverpop to run the company's database management group. He will be responsible for building out the database team and designing Silverpop's overall data management architecture. With more than 14 years of experience in database technology, Di previously was with Aon Shared Services, where he built and managed that company's Oracle DBA team and practices. Prior to that, Di was a senior database administrator for DoubleClick's email solution.
Kevin Ahrens has joined Silverpop as manager of production operations. Previously, he had been an IT architect with IBM Global Services, managing the data center operations for one of that company's largest clients. At Silverpop, he will manage the day-to-day operations of the company's growing infrastructure and multiple data centers.
"We're proud that Silverpop has been able to attract such talented individuals," said CEO Bill Nussey. "With the substantial investments Silverpop is making in both people and systems, we are well positioned to continue our rapid growth and to be able to support any level of infrastructure our clients may require."
