GraphOn Appoints Enigma Thin Client Systems as GO-Global Distributor for South Africa
Business Wire, June 14, 2006
SANTA CRUZ, Calif. -- GraphOn Corp. (OTCBB:GOJO), a leading developer of thin client application publishing and Web-enabling software solutions, today announced that it has signed a distribution agreement with Enigma Thin Client Systems to distribute the GO-Global family of application publishing solutions throughout South Africa.
GO-Global is a server-centric computing solution that reduces the complexities of application publishing, deployment and management. GO-Global for Windows publishes Windows applications without the need for Microsoft Windows Terminal Services or Citrix, while GO-Global for UNIX publishes UNIX and Linux applications without the need for local X server software. Applications can be accessed from any authorized location, platform and operating system, as though the applications were running locally. As a result, application issues can be solved at the central location, not at individual user desktops.
"We view this distribution agreement as a core offering of our business," said Enigma owner Peter Storbeck. "Market acceptance of thin client technology has matured and we know that we can supply a winning solution here in South Africa with GraphOn's fast, simple and affordable software. We are already experiencing market frustration with the limitations of Windows Terminal Services and the high cost and complexities of Citrix."
Enigma will distribute both GO-Global for Windows and GO-Global for UNIX through its established reseller channel, initially focusing on the Windows market segment.
"This is a key partnership agreement for GraphOn as South Africa represents an important market for the company," said Tom Castanzo, GraphOn's business development director for EMEA. "Enigma plans to aggressively market GO-Global through a combination of direct mail, trade shows and events, public relations, and joint sales and marketing activities with their reseller network."
