Alaska Communications Systems Offers Motorola RAZR V3c with EV-DO Capabilities
Business Wire, June 14, 2006
ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- Alaska Communications Systems Group, Inc. ("ACS") (NASDAQ:ALSK), Alaska's leading integrated communications provider, today announced the addition of the Motorola RAZR V3c to its wireless device lineup. With this launch ACS becomes the only company in Alaska to offer the RAZR V3c with EV-DO functionality.
"Not all RAZRs are created equal. Over the last two years, ACS has invested tens of millions of dollars deploying Alaska's most advanced wireless network to include EV-DO functionality and we are extremely excited to be the only Alaskan carrier to be able to leverage this mobile broadband capability on a RAZR," said Bill Bishop, director of retail operations at ACS. "With mobile broadband wireless speeds bursting up to 2.4 Mbps, ACS RAZR subscribers will be able to fully leverage the myriad applications available via the Internet -- at home, at work, on the road or virtually anyplace in between."
While riding the ACS CDMA network, users of the RAZR V3c will enjoy the state's fastest data speeds, phone-to-phone megapixel picture messaging and MPEG4 video, increased memory, and advanced speech recognition functionality -- in addition to its distinctive design. To kick off the launch, ACS is offering several limited time promotional offers which include the RAZR V3c.
