Stonesoft Included in Latest Enterprise Network Firewall Magic Quadrant
Business Wire, June 14, 2006
ATLANTA -- Stonesoft Corp. (HEX: SFT1V), the leading innovator in network security and secure, optimized resilient connectivity, today announced that Gartner has included the company in its June 5, 2006 "Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Network Firewalls, 1H06" by Greg Young and John Pescatore. The report acknowledges that the network perimeter has become more complex but has far from disappeared. It goes on to state that, "Trends in both threats and enterprise technology are forcing firewalls to evolve."
"We consider our continued inclusion in the Enterprise Network Firewall quadrant by Gartner confirmation of Stonesoft's vision, direction, and success in providing enterprises with integrated network security and business continuity," said IIkka Hiidenheimo, founder and CEO, Stonesoft Corp. "Enterprise customers are looking for innovation, integration, and the lowest overall cost of ownership. Stonesoft has the right product road map and customer focus in place to continue to meet the network security needs for distributed enterprises."
Last month Stonesoft announced the next-generation of its award-winning StoneGate Platform (see, http://www.stonesoft.com/press/Press_Releases/English/7394.html). The new features of the platform are designed to reduce risks associated with moving confidential data, voice and video traffic over the Internet, providing protection of investment by securing a company's data and, by extension, its reputation. The new features also facilitate more efficient incident management and remediation through greater manageability and usability.
