"The GR8 will improve battery service by helping our customers quickly and accurately solve any battery problem," said Will Sampson, Director, Global Product Management for Major Accounts, "The GR8 follows Midtronics NVS-8150 Battery Analyzer delivered to Toyota, Lexus, and Scion dealers in 2005, giving them the most advanced battery service capability in the world." Sampson added, "No other vehicle dealer is as well positioned to provide the latest technology for preventative maintenance and battery service, whether it's quickly charging a flat battery, jump starting a vehicle, or working as a power supply to keep the battery charged while performing flash programming or other electrically needy vehicle service."
The GR8 platform uses patented MOSFET soft-switch charging technology which provides cleaner, more efficient power for improved control, diagnostics, and power supply functions. In addition, this new platform offers the flexibility of working as a diagnostic battery station or as a full electrical diagnostic station by changing from the standard controller to the new EXP-1200 Expandable Electrical Diagnostic Platform. Other key improvements include multiple communication options, field replaceable cables, SD card reader/writer, large graphical screen and full alphanumeric keypad. Midtronics NVS-8150 replaces the battery analyzer originally deployed by Midtronics to Toyota and Lexus in 1998.
The Midtronics major account team provides process consulting and development, along with many flexible options for battery charging, battery and electrical diagnostics, and battery maintenance using the industry's most utilized technologies and equipment. As a required or preferred tool at most vehicle OEMs, battery retailers and service providers around the world, Midtronics has worked closely with our partner customers to increase profits through preventative maintenance programs and warranty management.
