Citrix Application Delivery Solutions Receive Oracle® E-Business Suite Integration Validation; Citrix NetScaler and Access Suite Products Deliver ``Best Access Experience'' for Oracle Customers

Business Wire, June 20, 2006

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- Citrix Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:CTXS), the global leader in access infrastructure solutions, today announced it has received integration validation for Citrix(R) NetScaler(R) System and Citrix Access Suite(TM) with Oracle(R) E-Business Suite. This milestone demonstrates Citrix's commitment to meet Oracle customer needs with the industry's most comprehensive application delivery and access solutions.

Citrix Application Delivery Solutions for the Oracle E-Business Suite

Citrix NetScaler System, the market-leading web application delivery

system, helps optimize the delivery of the Oracle E-Business Suite, speeding application response times over the web and helping to improve end-user performance -- an excellent option for delivering web applications. Deployed in front of Oracle E-Business Suite application servers, the system significantly reduces processing overhead on application and database servers, reducing hardware and bandwidth costs. Citrix NetScaler is a comprehensive network system that combines high-speed load balancing and content switching with state-of-the-art application acceleration, layer 4-7 traffic management, data compression, static and dynamic content caching, SSL acceleration, numerous network optimizations, and robust application security into a single, tightly integrated system.

Citrix Presentation Server(TM), the #1 application virtualization solution and part of the Citrix Access Suite, offers additional options for delivering the Oracle E-Business Suite, providing central management of browser plug-ins. Citrix Presentation Server allows organizations to access the Oracle JInitiator browser plug-in without having to install the browser plug-in, or modify the browser configuration or security settings on every user desktop. This streamlines browser plug-in management. Citrix Presentation Server also enables enhanced data security and user mobility for Oracle E-Business Suite users through its proven application virtualization technology.

Citrix Access Security & Control Solutions for the Oracle E-Business Suite

Oracle customers can now also leverage the value of Citrix market-leading Access Security and Control solutions, Citrix Access Gateway(TM) and Citrix Password Manager(TM), included in the Citrix Access Suite integration validation from Oracle. Citrix Access Gateway is a line of universal SSL VPN appliances, including Citrix SmartAccess technology that gives administrators fine granular control over what actions users can take when accessing the Oracle E-Business Suite based on who they are, where they are located, and what kind of device they are using. This unique capability is accomplished without any code modification or custom integration. Citrix Password Manager efficiently accesses the password-protected Oracle E-Business Suite with one logon. Users authenticate once with a single password, and Password Manager automatically does the rest: logs onto password-protected enterprise resources, enforces password policies, monitors password-related events, and automates end-user tasks -- even password changes.

"Citrix enables easy, fast, and secure access to the mission-critical business processes and business intelligence that Oracle E-Business Suite provides," said Chris Balkenhol, Vice President, Application Partner Integration at Oracle. "These integration validations underscore Oracle's and Citrix's achievements in collaborating to increase value to Oracle customers in an on-demand environment."

"As a Certified Partner in the Oracle PartnerNetwork, we are pleased to provide important value to the approximately 5,000 Oracle E-Business Suite users who will be using the integrated solutions," said David Jones, corporate vice president, business development and corporate affairs, Citrix. "In today's distributed work environments, companies need to increase employee productivity and reduce overall IT costs by providing secure, efficient and optimized access to business-critical applications like the Oracle E-Business from any location, device and platform."

Citrix received integration validation for Oracle E-Business Suite by undergoing tests that demonstrate integration compatibility between the Citrix and Oracle products. The test plan was developed and executed by Oracle's Application Integration team. Citrix and Oracle have previously validated the Citrix Access Suite with Oracle's JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and JD Edwards OneWorld XE SP23.

The Oracle Application Integration Initiative gives customers confidence that integrations between Oracle Applications and complementary ISV solutions have been validated and the products work together as designed. This helps reduce risk to customers, can improve system implementation cycles, and can provide for smoother upgrades and simpler maintenance - all of which help contribute to a lower cost of ownership. This initiative is available to qualifying partners in the Oracle PartnerNetwork, and applies a rigorous technical process to validate the integrations of third-party software to Oracle Applications products. The validation affirms that the demonstrated integration is functionally and technically sound, operates as designed, performs as required, is well documented, and can provide additional value to end customers. Oracle (NASDAQ:ORCL) provides tools, resources and training to assist partners in the integration. Partners with validated solutions are then authorized to use the "Integrated with Oracle" logo.
