LogicLibrary Selected for Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Business Solutions Center of Excellence; Keystone State Picks Design-time SOA Governance Leader to Manage and Reuse the Commonwealth's Software Development Resources
Business Wire, June 21, 2006
PITTSBURGH -- LogicLibrary(R), the leader in design-time service-oriented architecture (SOA) governance and software reuse, today announced that the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has selected Logidex as the repository/registry for its Business Solutions Center of Excellence (BSCoE). Logidex will be a key part of BSCoE's initiative to deliver reusable business services. The Commonwealth is committed to providing reliable, affordable business solutions to its constituents as quickly as possible.
Pennsylvania's Center of Excellence promotes cross agency development efforts and fosters a common approach to training and education for all development teams. Logidex will be populated with existing best-in-class service components developed both internally and externally. Additionally, newly developed components from current and future projects will also be stored in Logidex. BSCoE users will have a common and secure repository/registry of development building blocks that can be reused as necessary in many applications.
"Effective management and reuse of assets is a key benefit of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's SOA initiative," said Brenda Bobb, strategic planning chief for the Office of Information Technology. "Logidex's search capabilities enable us to find the right assets; the Any Source Asset Adapters make it possible to retrieve the best available assets and the federated library system features a security approval process that helps protect the Commonwealth's assets. LogicLibrary's technology will help the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania effectively apply technology to solve business problems and deliver better services."
Logidex is a design-time integrated registry/repository with configurable governance policies that help make it possible for organizations such as the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to actively track and manage services from design through deployment. Logidex's unique combination of a repository for services production, a registry for services and artifact consumption, and automated UDDI and ESB publication options is designed to provide governance capabilities for the entire SOA lifecycle.
"The Business Solutions Center of Excellence is an ideal example of how Pennsylvania is leading the nation in its commitment to using technology the right way," said Greg Coticchia, CEO of LogicLibrary. "Taxpayer investments should always be used as efficiently as possible and technology resources must support the delivery of first-class services. That's what BSCoE is all about. Effective software reuse and asset management results in reduced costs, decreased time to production for new services and improved utilization of the Commonwealth's IT resources. LogicLibrary looks forward to being an integral part of Pennsylvania's Center of Excellence."
