David M. Platter to Join Credit Suisse as Head of Financial Institutions Investment Banking for the Americas

NEW YORK -- Credit Suisse is pleased to announce that David M. Platter will join the Bank as Head of Financial Institutions Investment Banking for the Americas.
Mr. Platter joins the Bank as a Managing Director from Sagent Advisors Inc., an M&A boutique launched in 2004, where he was head of their FIG practice. Previously, Mr. Platter was Senior Managing Director and Head of Global FIG at Bear Stearns from 2000 to 2004. Mr. Platter began his career in 1985 as a FIG banker at Morgan Stanley. After nine years, he joined Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette where he also worked in their FIG practice, before joining Bear Stearns.
"David is one of the most senior and experienced bankers in the managed care and insurance sectors on the Street, having represented numerous clients in this space as well as at private equity and broking firms," said Vikram Gandhi, Global Head of the Financial Institutions Group for Credit Suisse. Mr. Platter completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley, graduating with a BS degree in 1981. He received his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business in 1985.
