Business Wire, June 26, 2006
FAIRFAX, Va. -- ICF International announced today that it was awarded a blanket purchase agreement (BPA) to supply professional and program management support services to all components of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The agreement, with an estimated potential value of US$500 million or more over five years, is part of the Department's effort to increase competition and efficiency through strategic sourcing.
"We are very excited for the opportunity to apply the broad program management capabilities and deep homeland security experience of ICF and our teaming partners to support the DHS mission," says Ellen Glover, an executive vice president at ICF and recognized leader in technology and management solutions. "This agreement provides us with a tremendous opportunity to work with the DHS to optimize program performance while meeting the agency's socio-economic goals." The ICF team includes Robbins-Gioia, AOC Applied Technologies, ICOR Partners, HW&W, KeyLogic Systems, and Mason Harriman Group.
The BPA is part of a DHS Strategic Sourcing Initiative where DHS is partnering with the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) to evaluate Department-wide requirements and spending, as well as to reduce procurement costs, maximize performance, and improve competition.
"We are honored to offer our extensive program management expertise to assist the DHS in its mission to prevent terrorist attacks within the United States, reduce America's vulnerability to terrorism, and minimize damage from potential attacks and natural disasters," says Michael Byrne, an ICF senior vice president and homeland and national security expert.
