Source Technologies Integrated Touch Screen PC Improves Integration, Reliability and Shelf-Life of Transactional Kiosks
Business Wire, June 27, 2006
CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Proprietary Embedded Kiosk Touch Screen Features Extensive Connectivity, Consolidated Power Usage, and Plug-and-Play Design
Source Technologies, a leading provider of integrated solutions for managing financial transactions and other secure business processes, announced availability of its new integrated touch screen PC for use in the company's Concourse(TM) transactional kiosks.
The new touch screen PC features extensive connectivity and can support up to nine kiosk devices, making it ideal for transactional kiosk applications. It also features a low-heat design, providing cool, fan-less operation with 24/7 reliability for retail environments. The integrated touch-screen PC is a fully embedded device that is thinner than many flat-screen monitors and requires less power to operate.
"Customers immediately see the benefit of our fully embedded system. By reducing the number of discreet components in the platform, customers enjoy lower power consumption, greater reliability and the ability to upgrade over the life of the kiosk," said Mike Bailey, vice president of engineering, Source Technologies. "It also reduces the complexity of the overall kiosk design, which lessens equipment problems and lowers operating costs versus competitive systems."
