Reunion.com Surpasses 20 Million Saved People Searches; Find Out If Anyone Is Searching for You With the Web's Only Reverse People Search
Business Wire, June 28, 2006
LOS ANGELES -- Reunion.com, the leader in keeping people in touch online, today announced that more than 20 million people searches have been saved, with well over one million new searches saved each month in 2006. With saved searches, Reunion.com can provide Members with a unique feature called Who's Searching for You, the Internet's only reverse people search. This feature is a powerful way for Members to reunite with old friends, former classmates, lost loves, relatives or anyone else that may be looking for them.
Who's Searching for You? compares a user's name and age to the database of saved searches performed by Members to see if anyone is looking for them. If there is a match, the Member can see who conducted the search, view their profile and pictures, and decide whether or not to contact the individual that searched through Reunion.com's private message service. When new Members join the site, they can see who conducted searches for them even if the searches were conducted long before they joined.
"Who's Searching for You? provides our Members with an innovative way to get back in touch. I was surprised to find that several old friends were looking for me, including my best friend from junior high, and former co-workers," said Jeffrey Tinsley, founder and CEO, Reunion.com. "The service is highly effective. Everyone should join and find out if one of the 20 million saved searches includes someone looking for them."
Reunion.com's People Search is a free feature that enables Members to search Reunion.com's database of over 25 million Members to find and view Member-created personal profiles, photos and other details, as well as query more than 100 million public records. The service also notifies users if a new Member joins that matches a previous search in order to facilitate even more reconnections.
Reunion.com also partners with leading providers of Internet search solutions, including Infospace, PeopleFinders, US Search and Intelius, providing them with syndicated content for people searches on their own sites, delivering real time proper names search results, as well as email search capabilities. Users receive more than just public records data; they receive information from Reunion.com Member profiles. This allows partners to increase the number, quality and depth of search results they display for each People Search conducted by their users.
