Manufacturing for new products will be conducted in Hawaii.
"We are committed to building Loea Corporation's work force in Hawaii and our customer base locally, nationally and internationally," said Admiral Thomas B. Loea is currently the world's only supplier of FCC-certified radios operating in the millimeter wave spectrum from 71.0-76.0 and 81.0-86.0 GHz bands. Our Loea 2500 radios transfer 1.25 gigabits of information instantly and can be a superior alternative to costly fiber optical cable. Additionally, Loea's radios are an excellent solution for redundant communications needs especially for post-disaster communications. Loea's next-generation system will expand bandwidth capabilities to 2.5 gigabits per second. This research, product development, and testing is underway in Kahului.
In addition to Loea installations throughout the continental U.S., there are several Loea links operating in Hawaii at this time. The U.S. Coast Guard transfers data across Honolulu Harbor using Loea radios while the University of Hawaii's Institute of Marine Biology transfers data between Coconut Island and Windward Community College. Loea was selected by Siemens to be part of its team to demonstrate wireless communications for the U.S. Army at Pohakuloa Range last year. General Dynamics recently purchased three Loea links for the Pohakuloa project in Hawaii.

Loea is currently the world's only supplier of FCC-certified radios operating in both the 71.0-76.0 and 81.0-86.0 GHz frequency bands. For more information, go to www.loeacom.com.
