Ping Li Named to Reactivity Board of Directors; Former Juniper Networks Executive and Venture Capitalist Joins Market Leader in XML Enabled Networking
Business Wire, June 5, 2006
BELMONT, Calif. -- Reactivity(R), Inc., the leading XML enabled networking solutions provider, today announced that industry veteran Ping Li has joined its board of directors. Mr. Li, a former Juniper Networks (NASDAQ: JNPR) executive, is a partner at Accel Partners, an investor in Reactivity.
In other news, Reactivity today announced a global strategic alliance with F5 Networks, Inc., (NASDAQ: FFIV) to augment F5's solution set with Reactivity's best-of-breed products for customers who require specialized management of their XML-based applications, such as Web services.
"This is an exciting time for Reactivity. The Company recently unveiled yet another breakthrough that dramatically automates the integration and security of critical Web service networks," said Mr. Li. "From where I sit, Reactivity has cracked the code that eliminates three key hurdles to SOA--wirespeed XML processing, easy provisioning and powerful security critical for managing the flood of XML impacting today's networks."
Mr. Li has worked in networking and telecommunications since the mid-1990's as a financier and product line manager. At Juniper, he managed Juniper's M-series router product portfolio and development roadmap that generated revenues over $50 million a quarter and led the research and development and product management integrating NetScreen Technologies ($3.5 billion transaction) into the Juniper Networks product line.
Previously, he served as a strategy consultant for McKinsey & Company and brings extensive international telecommunications experience, including work at Singapore Telecom and Goldman Sachs Asia. Mr. Li holds an A.B. from Harvard University, with honors and an M.B.A. from Stanford University.
"Reactivity gains a tremendous asset today with Ping Li accepting a board position," said Glenn Osaka, president and CEO of Reactivity. "Ping's proven track record and thorough understanding of the intersection of networking, security and applications will further fuel our rapid growth and race to meet the widespread demand for Reactivity products."
Reactivity continues to receive widespread praise for its solutions in real-world applications and test environments. Recently, Reactivity prevailed over Actional, DataPower (acquired by IBM), Forum Systems and Sarvega (acquired by Intel) in a comparative review published in Business Communications Review. Other awards include a SearchWebServices.com "Product of the Year" Award and Software Development's Jolt Productivity Award in the Security Tools category. Reactivity was also among the companies named into the elite corps of the Red Herring and AlwaysOn(TM) 100 Top Private Companies.
