Motricity Deutschland Introduces Mobile2Day.de in Mobile Device Format; First Portal with Real Web Functionality Designed to Run on Mobile Devices

NICE, France -- Motricity Deutschland, a division of Motricity, Inc, a global leader in mobile marketplace management, announced today that it has launched software application Web site Mobile2Day.de in mobile device format. The new portal will be one of the first of its kind with real Web functionality that is designed to run on mobile devices.

Mobile2Day.de is a European Web site hosting software applications, news, product tests, workshops and other content for Palm OS, Pocket PC, Symbian OS and Java platforms. Mobile2Day also manages PDA and Smartphone channels for other sites, achieving more than 150 million visitors per month with PDA and/or Smartphone content on T-Online, Tiscali, Mobilcom, Fujitsu Siemens, Qtek and download shops on other well-known sites.

The mobile version of Mobile2Day.de is optimized to run on PDAs and Smartphones that operate Windows Mobile, Palm OS or Symbian OS. Users will have optimal results on screen sizes starting at 176 x 200 pixels up to 640 x 480 pixels. The portal will offer powerful features including advanced search, device selection and easy navigation. Users will experience fast page load times thanks to low page sizes. The portal will be simple and easy to navigate with joystick- and touch screen-controlled devices.

On June 1 the company introduced PalmGear.de, PocketGear.net and SymbianGear.de, German versions of Motricity-hosted software application Web sites PalmGear.com, PocketGear.com and SymbianGear.com. Motricity currently delivers more than 600,000 digital media titles through its mobile content storefronts. PalmGear.com provides more than 24,000 software solutions, as well as ringtones, eBooks and accessories, for Palm OS devices, including the Treo Smartphone. PocketGear.com offers a variety of similar software and mobile content for Pocket PC handheld mobile devices, while SymbianGear.com provides content and applications for Symbian handhelds. Motricity also hosts Smartphone.net and ebook software provider eReader.com.
