ADERANT to Incorporate Microsoft Office PerformancePoint Server 2007 in Business Planning and Analysis Solutions; New Microsoft Application to Become the Foundation for Next Generation of ADERANT Expert Executive Office
Business Wire, June 6, 2006
ATLANTA -- ADERANT, a global provider of business and financial management software for professional services organizations, today announced that it will incorporate Microsoft Office PerformancePoint Server 2007 into the next generation of the company's business planning and analysis solutions. ADERANT will utilize the new Microsoft corporate performance management solution in the company's ADERANT Expert Executive Office suite of business planning, performance management, and analytics solutions.
Office PerformancePoint Server 2007 is a set of highly configurable corporate performance management applications supported by a complete business metadata platform. The Microsoft solution provides companies with unprecedented capabilities for managing and running their business, including business planning, budgeting, and forecasting as well as financial reporting and consolidation.
"Our strategy will be to use Office PerformancePoint Server 2007 as the foundation for our next generation of business planning, financial management, and performance management applications," said Geoffrey Joynt, Interim Chief Executive Officer of ADERANT. "Our relationship with Microsoft -- and advanced access to their new corporate performance management application -- will allow us to fold this new technology into our product development plans and quickly deliver solutions that help our clients."
"We are very pleased to have ADERANT incorporating Microsoft Office PerformancePoint Server 2007 into their future ADERANT Expert development efforts," said Michael Smith, Director of Microsoft Office Business Applications. "Office PerformancePoint Server 2007 provides comprehensive functionality for performance management including Scorecarding, Analytics and Planning with flexible and model driven business rules, allowing ADERANT to customize it to satisfy the unique business needs of professional services firms."
Foundation for Next Generation of Solutions
ADERANT will use Office PerformancePoint Server 2007 as the foundation for the next generation versions of its Expert Executive Office applications.
"Microsoft's latest solution provides a unified platform for financial management, business planning, and performance monitoring, which is why it will become the core technology behind our business intelligence and performance management applications," said David Weber, Vice President of Products for ADERANT. "Office PerformancePoint Server 2007 gives us an advanced framework and core business planning functionality that we can quickly extend and customize to meet the unique needs of our clients."
Selected by Microsoft
ADERANT was chosen by Microsoft in April 2006 to participate in the Technology Adoption Program (TAP) for Office PerformancePoint Server 2007. This ongoing program gives ADERANT advance knowledge of Microsoft's new performance management solution. Additionally, it allows ADERANT to provide Microsoft with feedback to ensure that the business needs of law firms and other professional services organizations will be met by the final version of the solution.
ADERANT's participation in the Office PerformancePoint Server 2007 TAP marks the third time the company has been selected to review new Microsoft technologies and tailor them to the needs of the professional services industry. ADERANT previously participated in the Microsoft Office Business Scorecard Manager TAP and is currently participating in the Microsoft Windows Workflow Foundation TAP.
ADERANT's ongoing relationship with Microsoft enables its clients to quickly adopt new Microsoft technologies and reduce IT management costs.
Stakeholder Program Announced
ADERANT has also announced a new client stakeholder program for the next generation version of Expert Executive Office. The program will ensure that the company's new business planning and performance management applications meet the business needs of its clients. Participating clients will be involved throughout the entire development process, providing feedback, prioritizing features, and benefiting from close interaction with ADERANT's product management and development teams.
