WHAT: Pillar Data Systems, a leading provider of enterprise network
storage systems, announced that Russ Kennedy will present at
the Gartner Storage Summit. During his presentation,
"Separating Promise from Reality: The Truth Behind ILM,"
Kennedy will discuss how ILM has changed into more of a
marketing campaign than a practical solution. He will also
highlight how many companies that have attempted to adopt an
ILM strategy have experienced additional cost, complexity and
risk due to disparate platforms and inadequate management
tools. Kennedy, one of the original architects of the ILM
concept, will then reveal to the audience ways to simplify,
consolidate and save on storage investments.
Pillar Data Systems will also be included in Roger Cox's
presentation on "Emerging Storage Vendors: An Overview of New
Technologies and New Suppliers" on Tuesday, June 13 at
4:00 p.m. ET.

demonstrations of the Pillar Axiom(TM) Storage Solution, the
industry's fastest-growing storage platform, which seamlessly
accommodates both SAN and NAS environments.
The Gartner Storage Summit offers the industry's largest
analyst team dedicated to storage (by a 3-to-1 margin) and a
renowned annual showcase of the industry's most exciting
storage products.
