North Carolina ABC Stores Pick NCR for Point of Sale

ATLANTA -- The Wake County Board of Alcoholic Control, a division of the North Carolina Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission, has selected NCR Corporation (NYSE:NCR) to provide a new point-of-sale (POS) solution for its 18 retail stores in the Raleigh, N.C. area.
NCR RealPartner Dalcom Consulting Inc. is responsible for the sale and installation of the solution, which includes NCR RealPOS(TM) 80c terminals with the DynaKey(TM) operator interface, NCR RealPOS printers and NCR RealScan(TM) bar code scanners. Dalcom Consulting will also provide ongoing maintenance and software support. In addition, Dalcom installed a completely integrated corporate office accounting, payroll and ERP solution as part of the project.

The NCR RealPOS 80c offers numerous expansion and connectivity capabilities to extend product life. The system also allows for comprehensive accessibility and simplified serviceability on replaceable parts. Routine maintenance can be done with minimal use of tools, minimizing service time and increasing system availability.
