Salomon Brothers Worldwide Income Fund Inc. Announces Results of Annual Meeting of Shareholders

NEW YORK -- Salomon Brothers Worldwide Income Fund Inc., which is traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol "SBW," announced today the results of the votes cast at the Fund's annual meeting of shareholders held on February 28, 2006.
Carol L. Colman, William R. Hutchinson, and R. Jay Gerken were elected as Class II Directors of Salomon Brothers Worldwide Income Fund Inc. to hold office until the annual meeting of stockholders in the year 2009 or thereafter when respective successors are duly elected and qualified.
Salomon Brothers Worldwide Income Fund Inc., a non-diversified investment management company, is managed by Salomon Brothers Asset Management Inc, a wholly owned subsidiary of Legg Mason, Inc.
