Secretary-General for Legal Affairs will speak at Santa
Clara University School of Law on March 13 and 14.

Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia."
March 14: "Current issues in the International Atomic
Energy Agency."

The lectures will be preceded by a reception from 11:30 a.m. - noon in the Levy Student Lounge in Bannan Hall.

Johnson formerly served as the Legal Adviser of the International Atomic Energy Agency (1997-2001) and Chef de Cabinet, Office of the President of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (2003-2005). He joined the United Nations Secretariat in 1971 and last served at Headquarters in 1997.
Johnson is a professor of global affairs at New York University's Center for Global Affairs and visiting professor of international law at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University. He begins his new position as UN Assistant Secretary-General for Legal Affairs on May 1. Previously, he was a visiting professor of international law at University of California, Davis, School of Law and the New England School of Law. Johnson is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the American Society of International Law and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.
