Patton & Pingtel Cooperate on Ground-Breaking IP-PBX Appliance; Patton Licenses Pingtel SIP ECS Software to Create NanoServ, a Feature-Rich, Low Cost IP-PBX Appliance for Small and Medium Businesses

GAITHERSBURG, Md. -- Patton Electronics and Pingtel Corp. today announced a strategic relationship to deliver a purpose-built next-generation IP-PBX Appliance to the under 30 extensions business market. The new ultra-miniature IP-PBX appliances will be based on a customized version of Pingtel's SIPxchange ECS running on Patton's NanoServ(TM) Miniature Embedded Linux Platform.
Available in early Q2, 2006, with a retail price under $1000, the resulting product will be a low-cost, state of the art, enterprise-grade, full-featured IP PBX and real time communications platform. The Appliance will support advanced call control features, fully integrated voice mail, multiple auto attendants and a superior web-based system configuration and management. Future releases will include a small business call center application and other advanced business features.

The NanoServ appliance is based on 100% standard SIP and will be fully compatible with state-of-the-art IP devices including Patton's full line of VoIP phones, gateways and routers.

Over the last few years, Patton, in conjunction with Patton-Inalp Networks (Switzerland), has put together a full range of pedigreed IP convergence products with robust software features enabling even the most unique VoIP deployments. Patton's SmartNode Voice over IP Gateways and Routers are used extensively by carrier and enterprise Customers.
